Tutorial Answer ^^



There are several question been asked about chapter 5, the generic strategies. My answer is written below: 

(1) Broad cost-leadership:
Tesco
-It is promote the low price strategy with its goal which value the concept of "EVERY LITTLE HELPS"

(2) Focused cost-leadership:
Mydin
-Mydin as the local product wholesaler provides customers with variety of low price products that could be easily get from its company branches in every city.
 
(3) Broad Differentiation:
Harley Davidson
-it is competing in the big motorcycle category with prices starting at $15,000 and running as high as $60,000. These motorbikes are more than just basic transportation.


(4) Focused Differentiation:
Porsche
-it is competing in its exclusive product which differentiated its features of products from its rival. The price for the car are starting from $150 000 until $600 000. These cars are more than just transportation.

From the answer given, as i could understand, the company are commonly competing on the best services, quality and its value of products. The entire concept of strategies has its own specialty. That’s all. I hope I get right understanding about this topic.
